Reading is a very important part of education in every subject! Reading is also something that takes practice. Reading 20 minutes a day with your child has proven to make a difference in their reading ability. Books are always a great resource, and can even be found for $1 at Target when available. The public library is a great resource for free books! But now you can even let them read online. Below are some websites for reading stories, articles, and poetry. There are also books you can download for free on your cell phone or I-Pad if you own one. Keep reading daily!

www.storyonline.net
www.learner.org/interactives/story
This is a great list of online resources, with a wide variety of genres. I love Giggle Poetry, and the Learner.org interactives are a wonderful way to learn about the elements of fiction. I used it this past year with my fourth graders. I was not familiar with the We Give Books site. Thanks for sharing!
